Even after all is gone, the group of now full-fletched survivors leave behind one of the members’ family to find out about what happened to the last parents they still don’t know about together. In the end, people give up on the part of Japan they live in and throw a special missile that stops all basic guns, cars, and electric devises from working, cutting the entire region from the rest of the world. They learn to kill for survival and to rely on themselves for weapons and strategies.

In their fight for survival, they meet dangerous foes and great allies, but in the end always seem to end up together. Together they fight their way out of the school.Īfter understanding more about the “Outbrake”, they decide to go around searching for their parents and other family members.

They soon enough join up with another group of survivors, including the school nurse and other some other eccetric students. Though she is resistent at first, a good slap and a demonstration of what “they” are capable of doing will be more than enough to change her mind. After seeing what it’s capable of doing, Takashi runs straight to save his ex-girlfriend. The main character, Takashi Komuro, starts the story off by skipping class and being the first to sight what would soon be the cause the school’s residents’ extinction. Highschool Of The Dead starts off in the basic japanese high school in a simingly endless city. If you can look past all the humor, the anime is ackwardly realistic and pretty depressing. Truly the last few episodes made me feel kind of sad, like there was no hope and everyone knew, yet they still kept on trying. The story does get a little confusing and the ending is pretty abrupt, but all in all it is a nice pause from the real world. Apart from the gore, there are also a lot of suggestive scenes for a more mature audience. It also adds a lot of humor to the dull world the characters fight against, making it entertaining in more than one way. The story itself is definatly not the most elaborate there is, but illustrates a realistic idea of what would happen in the situation the world is facing. The entire anime is filled with blood and fights, in which survival is the main goal. I would recommend this mostly to a more mature audience, though not as much as for Corpse Party.
